Guidelines for Authors

 

The International Journal of Language, Literature and Social Science (IJLLSS) invites original, unpublished, and high-quality research contributions from scholars, academicians, and researchers in the fields of language, literature, and social sciences. Authors are requested to carefully read and follow the submission guidelines below before submitting their manuscripts.

 

1. Manuscript Structure

 

Authors should structure their manuscripts as follows:

​

•Title – Title of the paper, author(s) information.

•Abstract – Approximately 200–250 words, summarizing the objectives, methods, findings, and significance of the study.

•Keywords – 4–6 relevant keywords.

•Main Text – Organized under clear headings such as Introduction, Review of Literature, Methodology, Analysis/Discussion, and Conclusion.

•Acknowledgements (if applicable).

•References – Must follow MLA 9th Edition format strictly.

 

2. Formatting Requirements

 

•Font: Times New Roman, 12-point size

•Spacing: 1.5 line spacing

•Margins: 1 inch on all sides

•Alignment: Justified

•Length: 3,000–6,000 words (excluding references)

 

3. Referencing Style

 

All citations and references must adhere to MLA 9th Edition guidelines.

Examples:In-text citation:(Spivak 45)

Works Cited example: Spivak, Gayatri Chakravorty. Can the Subaltern Speak? Columbia University Press, 2010.

 

4. Plagiarism Policy

 

IJLLSS maintains a strict anti-plagiarism policy. All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Submissions with more than 10% similarity (excluding references) will be rejected outright.

 

5. Peer Review Process

 

•All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two experts in the relevant field.

•Review outcomes may be: Accepted, Accepted with Minor Revisions, Major Revisions Required, or Rejected.

•The editorial team reserves the right to make minor grammatical or formatting corrections before publication.

6. Publication Ethics

 

Authors must ensure:

 

•The originality of the work.

•Proper acknowledgement of sources and co-authors.

•No conflicts of interest or ethical misconduct.

 

The journal adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) standards.

 

7. Open Access Policy

​

IJLLSS follows a Gold Open Access model, allowing unrestricted access to all published articles. Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.
